A new website has come with a pledge to help reporters, editors and journalists track developments in media ethics in conventional media. The site also comes with a community to access guidance from experts in journalistic ethics, and fosters strong discussion.
“Going forward, we won’t have a one-size-fits-all ethics code,” said Kelly McBride, Poynter senior faculty member.
The site features McBride’s The Ethics Blog, including material from the new book “The New Ethics of Journalism,” co-edited by McBride and Tom Rosenstiel, American Press Institute executive director.
Ponyter’s ethic initiative is fundamentally aligned with the goal to make journalism more transparent, and give reporters an outlet to push integrity and ethics in reporting.
