British politician accuses Google of storing private patient data

A prominent Tory MP, Sarah Wollaston, who practised as a family doctor and is now a Conservative benchwoman, has brought to light a systemtic controversy of private health data from the NHS being stored in Google’s servers by outsourced Management Consultants.

The data, encompassing nearly 30 DVDs and weeks of upload time, has put various security and privacy campaigners on alert, wondering how and where Google was given access to this sensitive data, and why the information is being stored in the first place.
