The Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei (AITI) is an institutional thinkthank based out of the small Asian country that’s taking a pro-active approach to cyber-security. Recognizing the increased usage of third-party applications to obtain personal information by cyber criminals, the AITI is organizing a Cyber Security Awareness Week this week with a theme of ‘Promoting Cyber Security and the Effective Use of Social Media’ to share ideas and develop solutions.

This event is being organised in collaboration with E-Government National Centre and Protective Security Services.

On top of intiatives like this, Brunei is also building a center to officially enforce and monitor cyber security systems. The center will serve as an international hub of collaboration on the issue.
