Both France and Schmidt spoke to Reuters at the annual RSA Conference, the world’s largest cyber security gathering, in San Francisco last week.

San Francisco held the annual RSA Conference last week, the world’s largest gathering of cyber security enthusiasts. RSA is the security devision of EMC corp, and has been the target of discussion by security researchers claiming that government cyber security tools ultimately end up in the hands of hackers.

The RSA itself has been the product of intense controversy, after a revelation late last year that they had accepted a $10 million federal contract to promote largely flawed cryptographic formula pushed by the NSA.
