The UK is taking steps to bring technology giants into the democratic process. Britain is asking leading figures from technology giants like Google, Facebook and Twitter to help draw a blueprint for the implementation of entirely digital ballots in the UK. A speech to the Hansard society yesterday even hinted at the implementaiton of digital ballots to loosen current electoral time frames.
‘It should also consider how Parliament can become more relevant to the increasingly diverse population it seeks to serve’.
Initial parliamentary reactions to the idea of digital balloting have been lukewarm in the 3 parties.
