Indian app “UnMuted” aims to solve civil issues

You can’t solve all of life’s little problems. Particularly in a place like India — cushioned in a sensitive area between developed and under-developed — where the vast economic growths also come with the frustrations of daily incompetencies, both institutional and natural.

Enter UnMuted, a non-profit “voice-raising platform” hoping to crowdsource life’s civil problems.

The idea is simple: snap a photo of whatever you want to complain about, upload it with a description and publish it for the world to see. UnMuted hopes that India’s citizenry band together with local news media and NGO’s to help solve India’s day-to-day problems.
